CHEATS, TRICKS, TIPS BY POKEMON NAME - M TO Y

Machamp: If you want to have an early advantage in the Normal Gym, trade a Drowzee for a Machop in the city (there is a man who will do that) and train it for awhile.
Magby: Leave a Female Magmar with any other Male Pokemon at the Daycare south of Goldenrod City. Note: Baby Pokemon may have an attack of their father. Check both Pokemon while they are in the Daycare. They may not like each other. Any Pokemon that you can get once in a game, such as Mewtwo or Lugia, or does not have a gender, is unbreedable.
Mareep: Mareep evolves into Flaafy at level 15, and then Ampharos at level 30. The moves Mareep learns are Thundershock (level 9), Thunderwave (level 16), Cotton Spore (level 23), Light Screen (level 30), and Thunder (level 37).
Marril: Go to Black Thorn city and find Parry the hiker. He is on the way down to New Bark Town. On the left you should see a fat man that will challenge you to a Pokemon match. After defeating him, get his phone number. He will call you to battle or say his friend saw a swarm of Marril in Mt. Motar. You can find a Lv. 21 Marril in the water and Lv.13 to 16 on land.
Marril (2): Mt. Mortar; talk to Hiker Parry, found at Route 45.
Meganium: Meganium evolves from Bayleef at level 32. The moves Meganium learns are Razor Leaf (level 8), Reflect (level 12), Poison Powder (level 15), Synthesis (level 23), Body Slam (level 31), Light Screen (level 41), Safeguard (level 51), and Solarbeam (level 61).
Mr. Mime (Gold version): Go to Saffron City before fighting Sabrina. Challenge Sabrina to discover that her Mr. Mime is female.
Muchuru: Breed Jynx with anything that has the same symbol while looking at your party to get Muchuru.
Murkrow: You can find a wild Murkrow on Route 7 at night.
Natu: Natu evolves into Xatu at level 25. The moves Natu learns are Night Shade (level 10), Teleport (level 20), Future Sight (level 30), Confuse Ray (level 40), and Psychic (level 50).

Check both Pokemon while they are in the Daycare. They may not like each other. Any Pokemon that you can get once in a game, such as Mewtwo or Lugia, or does not have a gender, is unbreedable.

Defeat the elite four twice, then return. The man will be standing outside the house and will give you a Pichu egg. Make sure you have three open spaces for Pikachu, the egg, and Ditto.
Pichu (Gold version) (2): Put Ditto and Pikachu in the daycare center. They will soon have an egg. If you want lots of Pichus, leave Pikachu and Ditto there. The next day or so, they should have another egg. Keep repeating this to get as many Pichus as needed.
Pikachu: Transfer a Pikachu from Pokemon Yellow into the game. It should have an item directly translated to "Electric Ball". Equip it to any Pikachu, and its special attack will double.
Pikachu (2): Pikachu can be found in the tall grass at the forest entrance from the Viridian City entrance (because there is no grass in the actual maze part).
Pikachu (3): Use the following trick to get Pikachu early. Go to either Burned, Tin, or Sprout tower. There should be Raichus there. Make sure you have a Ditto. Capture the Raichu and take them to the Day Care. If they are interested in each other, in two days you will have an egg. It will hatch into a Pichu. It will evolve into a Pikatchu later. Have it hold the Everstone to stop its evolution into a Raichu.
